Sunday Oct 6 21019 The respect of the greatest masters of all time
As I learn more about the various masters of their crafts, music, wood, metal, voice etc, I stand in awe of the skills that were mastered. Bessler lived in a moment in time where the mind was finally able to achieve great discoveries and do things that were previously seemed impossible. Just because no one had done it before was not a roadblock for these incredible minds.
I have chosen and choose today to move past those words of suppression. Now that I have a system that will cause an imbalance which will move the wheel I am working towards the next phase. The single component that allows the capture and release, in a timely manner, the amount of the energy required to continue the revolving motion of this flywheel. I believe, at this time, that I know what I need. Building prototypes always pays off for me as I assemble each mechanisms and see how they interact with the wheel.... it prepares me for the next prototype and now I have built a mechanism that allows the use of a common item for the storage that is required.
I am thinking about pushing a large rubber tire, and the energy that is required to move this rubber tire, even small amount. Lets say it requires 1 hp just to move it. If we make a running start before we are in contact with the wheel then our movement increases the amount of force that we can generate. So, once we get the tire going it requires less energy to keep it going, but that initial surge must be provided. IF we can only generate 1/2 hp then that rubber tire will never move. So there has to be a minimum amount of energy provided to just begin the process, to accelerate this giant rubber tire requires a specific amount of energy, greater than the energy required to just keep it rolling.
If the wheel is in a balanced condition......
The amount of weight that must be applied to the wheel to make it move is really small. I have even said that it is just the weight of a single washer. So little. that there are no large weights required just to continue the motion.
The most force that can be applied to the wheel by a single weight can be applied to the wheel in a couple of ways. The longer the moment arm the greater the force from a given weight. This weight can be attached to the wheel at the perimeter, but it can also be applied to the axle on a long lever. But it is much easier to make that same weight disappear from the wheel when it is attached to the axle.
Happy with where I am today with my latest mechanism and will begin the next step, getting it optimized for just the right amount of force required.
Good luck to all my fellow seekers. May God bless us on our journey
NO working wheel as of this date, but it feels like I am really close.
But for now I am still seeking
For I am a Perpetuum Mobilist
