Bessler, must have had, at his core an incurable curiosity with devices. If, as written, he made pocket watches by hand. I cannot even imagine the complexity of doing that task. If there is someone out there with a pocket watch fabricated by Bessler, I would surely love to have a photo or even better to purchase it for my own amusement. After 3 days of testing every possible way to get my latest wheel to keep turning without success, but OOOO so close. I have come to the conclusion that there is a key in the drawing......... and are ye yet without understanding.... as well as the line about using a spring in the mechanism, but not in the way that you think. a spring and a triggering device, to perfect the timing is my next go. There is so much to gain from finishing and time is running out.
